The Voice of the Phillipines Top 52 named
'The Voice of the Philippines', the top-rating weekly singing-contest of ABS-CBN named the Top 52 artists who advanced to the next round. There are 52 out of 120 contestants who performed during the 'blind auditions' that will join 'The Battle Rounds'.
By default, each of the judge-mentors (Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo Mañalac, Lea Salonga and Apl.de.ap) should have 12 artists in his/her team (Top 48 as reported before) but they've decided to add one more contestant each to improve their line up of artists.
The Blind Auditions was taped in just 4 days from April 15- 18, 2013 held at Studio 2 of ABS-CBN. Last June 15, 2013, ABS-CBN aired 'The Voice of the Philippines' premiere with blind auditions kick-off. For several weeks, list of artists per coach is filled one-by-one.

MANILA, Philippines -- National University went on a final quarter rampage to beat De La Salle University, 63-56, in the last game of the 76th UAAP men's basketball tournament first round on Sunday, July 28 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Holding a precarious 43-42 lead when the 4th period began, the Bulldogs leaned on a spree by Ray Parks to drop a 14-2 bomb and move ahead, 57-44, with 4 minutes on the clock.
The Green Archers fought back behind Arnold van Opstal and Thomas Torres and came to as close as 3 at 59-56 with 16.4 seconds remaining.
But Gelo Alolino sank two free-throws to give NU a 61-56 with 10 ticks left to secure the Bulldogs' 4th victory. -Rappler.com

A future king has attended his first photocall aged one day old as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge presented their newborn son to the world.The infant prince made his debut on the steps of the Lindo wing at St Mary's hospital, Paddington, a little over 24 hours after his birth, as the duchess was discharged at 7.15pm.Cradling the third in line to the throne on the same spot where he himself was introduced to the public 31 years ago, Prince William said they were "still working on a name".The couple posed for pictures before massed ranks of photographers with hundreds of lenses trained on the tiny yawning bundle to capture the historic moment, with the duchess holding their son before passing him to her husband.

Apple Releases OS X Mavericks Developer Preview 4
Apple has seeded the fourth Developer Preview of OS X Mavericks to developers, some two weeks after the release of Developer Preview 3.
OS X Mavericks is slated for release this fall and includes new features like a tabbed Finder, full screen dual monitor capabilities, Safari improvements, and a new Maps app. Developers can receive the update via the Software Update tool in the Mac App Store.

A first look at Apple's iWork for iCloud beta
Apple is starting to roll out a public beta of iWork for iCloud, its upcoming online office suite, and it's inviting select users to test out the new apps through an emailed invitation. The suite includes web editions of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote — Apple's take on word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations — and serves as a clear way for Apple to challenge the productivity giants: Microsoft Office and Google Docs. The new web apps will let users create and edit documents, sync between apps, and access their files from anywhere.
